Convert HTML form to pdf

Hi guys

I am still trying to figure out the best way forward, i came across this on your website:

http://www.aspose.com/docs/display/pdfnet/PDF+Editor±+Working+with+Form+Fields

That is the type of pdf i am trying to create.

Please advise the best way to do so?

1. Do we create an html page consisting of all the form fields and then convert to fillable pdf?
2. Or do we create the pdf document with the form elements (ie: see my previous post - <a href=")

Please can you assist - i have been trying to get the correct info from you guys all week.

Garreth

Hi Garreth,

Thanks for contacting support.

When converting HTML file which contains form fields into PDF format, the form fields are rendered as form fields instead of static labels. However your other query has been replied in above stated forum thread.

Should you have any further query or encounter any issue, please feel free to contact.

Again i dont understand your answer. Form fields are rendered as form fields? What does that mean?

This is what i am trying to achieve:

FormEditor Class|Aspose.PDF for .NET

I cannot seem to get any info from you guys in order to achieve this. Its been almost a week of back and forth, please advise.

Imran on your live chat promised an update today - i am still waiting? I cant believe that after 1 week no one on your end can assist and advise which is the correct product t use?

Guys is this really something out of the ordinary that i am requesting? Why has it taken a week and i still dot have any info from you guys?

Hi Garreth,

First of all please accept our sincere apologies for the delay and inconvenience which you have been facing.

Please allow me to explain the required details. Aspose.Pdf for .NET offers the feature to create PDF forms and fill the PDF forms. You can share the resultant file with your customers/users and they can use Adobe Acrobat to fill information and send documents back to you. Later you can extract data from filled files and save information in database.

In order to extract data from PDF forms, you can also try using Aspose.Pdf for .NET. For more information, please visit Export Data to XML from a PDF File (Facades)

Now concerning to your earlier query where you want to convert HTML file containing form fields to PDF Format, you can use our API to render HTML file to PDF format and during this conversion, the HTML controls are properly rendered inside PDF file. For more information, please visit Convert HTML to PDF Format
.

Furthermore, the example shared over PDF Editor - Working with Form Fields shows how you can use our API and work with form fields. Please do let me know if I have not properly understood your requirements or have missed some point and I would be more than happy to assist you in this regard.

Once again, we are sorry for any confusion and inconvenience caused.

Thank you for your response, that makes alot more sense.

So to confirm:

1. I can create a detailed application form in html, which will contain the layout i want and all the form elements (fields)
2. This can then be converted to a pdf and all fields will be available for a user to complete
3. I can then extract this information into xml format

Thanks

Garreth

You link reference to convert HTML to PDF format seems to show only PDF to HTML and other various formats? I want to convert an HTML file to PDF.

Ignore above comment - i found that correct link.
