1.Summary of CAD Software=Solid Edge and File Extensions

:one: Solid Edge
A 3D CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software used for designing machine parts, assemblies, and technical drawings.

File Extensions:
• ‎.PAR – A file of a single part in a 3D model.
• ‎.ASM – An assembly file containing multiple connected parts.
• ‎.DFT – An engineering drawing file generated from the model.

Exchange Format – STEP
A standard format for transferring 3D models between different CAD software.

File Extensions:
• ‎.STEP
• ‎.STP

You can take a model from one software (e.g., CATIA) and open it in another software (e.g., Solid Edge).

2.Can you please convert the attached Solid Edge files’ extensions to STEP ?

Solid Edge.zip (1.5 MB)

4.We want to see how the Aspose.CAD library handles these files before we pursues it.

5.Please provide sniped code , how you convert each extensions :s( ‎.PAR, .ASM, .DFT) to STEP.

we don’t have support for these file formats. We have created CADNET-10389 issue to evaluate the feasibility of implementing them.

there is no time table, we will evaluate firstly the feasibility of the implementation at all. It the implementation is possible, we will evaluate the approximate amount of work to be done.
