Converting old files

Hello
We use a new version of Aspose.Total for Java.
A few old Word files we want to convert generate the following error: “This document is in the pre-Word97 format and it is not currently supported”

Can you tell me which Word versions can be converted with Aspose?
What is the procedure in the future? Which versions (of different doctypes) will be supported or deprecated?

Thanks for your inquiry. Pre-Word97 is the only format that is currently not
supported by Aspose.Words. Other than that generally, Aspose.Words
supports Microsoft Word 2013, 2010, 2007 etc. We had already logged this feature request as WORDSNET-3881 in our issue tracking system. You will be updated via this forum thread once this feature is available.

Thanks for your inquiry. The support of Pre-Word97 is not deprecated. This is missing feature in Aspose.Words. There is no plan to deprecate the support of Word 2013, 2010, 2007, 2003 and 97 documents. Could you please share some more detail about your query? We will then provide you more information on this.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-3881) have been fixed in this .NET update and this Java update.
