Converting word.doc into pdf exception

Hello,
Can you enlighten me on the following issue:
We often get the following exception:

“Invalid paragraph in NextParagraph method”, when converting from word.doc into pdf

And this is despite the fact that the word document opens alright in MS Word.
Is this a known bug, that has been solved in a newer version? The version we are using was purchased in 2007.
