I am creating a document that contains various sections. I am trying to generate a TOC in the document in the following layout:
IMAGE TEXT RECTANGLE WITH 3 TEXT FIELDS FROM DB
TEXTBOX WITH DOCUMENT NAME
Table of Contents
1.0 - Introduction ................... 1
2.0 - Procedure ...................... 2
1.0 Introduction
dsjfkdj ljlkjdfsljfl ldsf
2.0 Procedure
lkj ldksajd lksa
I have two issues:
1. How do I get the TOC to show up after the IMAGE and other ALL_CAPS fields?
2. When I render in Aspose PDF, the images and rectangles are distorted and not the size set up in the report. In regular PDF export, the images etc are all fine. With Aspose export, the images are all whacked out. What am I doing wrong?
I am evaluating your product to generate TOCs in SOPs. I want something like:
Table of Contents
1.0 - Introduction ................... 1
2.0 - Procedure ...................... 2
1.0 Introduction
dsjfkdj ljlkjdfsljfl ldsf
2.0 Procedure
lkj ldksajd lksa
The categories are generated from a database table and are shown in a tablix in VS 2008 and SSRS 2008. The issue is that the TOC does not get generated in the PDF. Attached are my files. I followed the directions about setting up the xml files, I am not getting the TOC.
Thanks for using our products and sorry for delay in response.
We are testing this scenario at our end and will keep you posted on the status of correction. Please be patient and spare us little time. We are really sorry for this inconvenience.

I am glad to hear that the problem related to Table Of Contents is resolved at your end. However I have tried replicating the other issues using the sample .RDL file that you have shared and have observed that you are using some custom data source named
PMH_SOP in your report and I am afraid I am unable test the scenario completely. I have also tried linking the data file that you have shared but could not load it. Can you please share the data source or create similar sample report using AdventureWorks database so that we can test the scenario at our end. We are really sorry for this inconvenience.
PS, in the source .RDL file, I can see Data Source=ELPHABA\SQL2008;Initial Catalog=PMH_SOP
How do I get the TOC to show up after the IMAGE and other ALL_CAPS fields?
I am afraid this feature is not supported at the moment. We already have a new feature in our issue tracking system to generate TOC placement dynamically or a specific location with issue id: PDFREP-26636. I have linked your issue with the thread and asked the development team to see if we can support your requested feature.
JJS0103:

I am able to reproduce your mentioned issue after an initial test. Your issue has been registered in our issue tracking system with issue id: PDFREP-33130 You will be notified via this forum thread regarding any update against your issue.
In previous replay shared by Nausherwan, the request to place TOC on specific location has already been logged in our issue tracking system. The development team is already working on implementing this feature and as soon as this feature becomes available, we would be more than happy to update you with the status of correction.
However concerning to the other issue regarding distorted images and rectangles, we just have been able to discover this issue and we will definitely try our level best to get it fixed ASAP. I think the required feature and this issue, both can be corrected. Please be patient and spare us little time. Your patience and comprehension is greatly appreciated in this regard.
Please note that Aspose.Words for .NET is a component which provides the capabilities to create as well as manipulate MS word documents under .NET Framework. However Aspose.Words for Reporting Services is SQL Reporting Services extension which provides the leverage to export/save the .RDL file into DOC, DOCX, RTF, HTML, XHTML, EPUB, TXT, XPS and many other formats. I am afraid Aspose.Words for Reporting Services might not be able to convert source .RDL file into PDF format. However I will request my fellow worker from respective team to share more details regarding capabilities of Aspose.Words for Reporting Services. You may also consider visit the following link for details on Aspose.Words for Reporting Services.
