Data corruption deleting a worksheet with specifc workbook

With the attached file, if I:
1. open the workbook
2. add a new worksheet
3. delete the new worksheet
4. save in Excel2000 format
when I try to open the workbook in Excel XP, it says that the data is corrupted, all the formatting is lost and the chart on the first sheet is gone.

The trigger for this error appears to be the chart on the first worksheet and/or some of the named ranges on the second worksheet.

When I try to perform the same steps in Excel XP, the data is fine.
