Detecting whether a word document is a template file

Hello,

I have a quick question:

Is there any way I can detect whether a Word document I have opened using Words.Document() is a dotx versus a docx file without knowing the file extension (i.e. opening via Stream)?

On the save side, setting the property IsTemplate to true allows me to save as dotx, but this property is not populated when the file is loaded as documented.

If there is no way to determine whether a loaded Stream is a template file, any plans on adding this in a future release?

Thanks in advance,
Scott

Hi

<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Thanks for your request. Currently there is no way to detect whether the loaded document is a template. We will consider adding such feature. Your request has been linked to the appropriate issue. You will be notified as soon as it is resolved.

Best regards.
