Digital Signature. SHA1

Is there anyway to change from SHA1 to SHA256?

This is generated using Aspose PDF “PKCS1” class.

If there’s more to be done to arrive at a SHA256 signature, am hoping you can guide me in the right direction. Thanks!

@ngzhongcai,

There is no way to sign a PDF with SHA256 signature. We have already logged a feature request under the ticket ID PDFNET-41994 in our bug tracking system. We have linked your post to this ticket and will keep you informed regarding any available updates.

Do you have any time frame for using a more secure SHA algorithm ?

Thanks!

@etay,

It is difficult to say which SHA algorithm is more secure. Please share details of your requirement. We will investigate and share our findings with you. Furthermore, you can apply encryption and decryption for the security purposes. Please refer to this help topic: Working with Security and Signatures with Aspose.Pdf API.

Hi @imran.rafique,

Thank you for your answer,

We Want to use Digital Signature feature (not encryption and decryption the Document)/
As it seems, Aspose.Pdf uses only SHA-1 for Digital Signatures.
The Standard says SHA-2 or better must be use.
Is there a way to digitally sign with SHA-2 ot better?
If not, Do you have any time frame for that?

Thanks!
