Disable Script in existing pdf

Is it possible to disable (preferebly completely remove ...) scripts and / or events in an existing pdf file, using your product ?

Hi Kobi,

I’m sorry to inform you that currently Aspose.Pdf.Kit doesn’t allow you to remove all the Javascript from the PDF file. You can only remove Javascript from a field using RemoveFieldAction
method. However, this requirement is logged as PDFKITNET-10565 in our issue tracking system. You’ll be updated via this forum thread once we support this feature.

Hey Latif,

Just to clarify: my questions are due to security issues regarding javascript in pdf documents. The scenario I need to support:

1. Get Pdf file from party a.

2. Send the file to party b.

Now, I wish to avoid javascript attacks by party a, on party b.

Does your prodcut address the issue I presented in any way (even in a "workaround kind of" way) ? Can it be done with aspose.pdf or aspose.pdf.kit ?

Hi Kobi,

I’m sorry to inform you that, right now, we can’t provide a workaround for this issue. I think once we support the complete removal of Javascript from a PDF file, this will help you avoid any security risk due to the Javascript.
