Do your 2d barcodes work?

After trying to use your 2d data matrix barcode in my project. I found that nothing was able to read it.

Working backwards I went back to your example online.

I typed "this is a data matrix barcode test. This should produced a barcode that works with any 2d scanner."

I tried to scan the barcode produced there with my datalogic 2d scanner (used regulary with data matrix barcodes). Nothing.

I tried to scan with iphone app i-nigma.

I then tried online scanning with http://www.onlinebarcodereader.com/ and http://zxing.org/w/decode.jspx. Still nothing.

The only time I seem to get it to work is when I use only a very small number of characters which does not create a multi-quadrant data matrix.

Am I wasting my time?

Based on the provided steps, I can recognize the barcode by using ClearImage SDK. I’ve logged an investigation to check the recognition of 2D DataMatrix barcode by using datalogic 2d scanner, iPhone app i-nigma etc. I have logged this task as BARCODENET-33330 in our issue tracking system. Recently we had some progress in this matter. Attached to my reply is one sample DataMatrix barcode image, that we hope should comply datalogib 2d scanner, i-nigmaand and iPhone. Can you please give it a try on datalogic 2d scanner, iPhone and i-nigma etc. Please also share the detailed reports produced by it.

That barcode works with all of our tests.

Good news for you is BARCODENET-33330 has now been resolved and its fix will be included in the next version of Aspose.BarCode for .NET (v5.1.0). We will inform you via this forum thread as soon as the new release is published. Moreover, we encourage you to share such barcode samples for testing purposes. We can ask our development team to give it a try on new version of Aspose.BarCode for .NET v5.1.0.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as BARCODENET-33330) have been fixed in this update.
