DOC to PDF Inaccurate Font Spacing

Hi

I have a DOC file that needs to be converted to a PDF file. I have provided two files:

- MarginExampleInput.doc
- MarginExampleOutput.pdf

The conversion is taking place on a Linux environment but the original file was created in a windows environment. This means the fonts available in the windows environment were not present in the Linux environment. To our understanding, Aspose will default to a font that it has available to it. What we have found is that spaces within the outbound file do not seem to be consistent with the inbound file.

As you can see from the two attached files, the spacing does not match up correctly in the outbound, is there a setting we may have missed or is there any other method that we could use to ensure a more accurate conversion.

Thanks
Hi Greg,

Thanks for your inquiry.

Please note that Aspose.Words requires TrueType fonts when rendering documents to fixed-page formats (JPEG, PNG, PDF or XPS). You need to install fonts on the machine where you're converting documents to Pdf. Please refer to the following article:

Font Availability and Substitution

Moreover, we suggest you please use latest version of Aspose.Words for Java 16.12.0. Hope this helps you.
