Document UpdateFields TOC field - Table of Contents

We’re using Aspose.Words for .Net 8.2.1. We’re generating a document using the DocumentBuilder, inserted a TOC field and ran UpdateFields on the document prior to saving. It appears that the TOC field is not updated. This is confusing after reading “Table Of Contents entries are now displayed correctly, like in MS Word.” in the 8.1.0 changelog at https://releases.aspose.com/words/net

  1. Is this feature implemented in 8.1.0 as the changelog suggests?
  2. If not, when is this estimated to be completed? How can we get periodic updates on the status of the feature?
  3. If not, is the only work around still using a macro by appending to a template word document?

Thanks for your request. At the moment, Aspose.Words does not support updating of TOC. This feature will be available in the next version, which will be released in the very beginning of April. Your request has been linked to the appropriate issue. You will be notified as soon as it is resolved.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as 10380) have been fixed in this update.
