Does Aspose support Office 2013 documents?

Hi,

Does Aspose support Office 2013 document conversions to PDF in Java?
I could not find this information anywhere, hence asking. I did get a PDF which does not include 2013 documents as supported but just curious to know if this was left out by mistake.

Thanks,
Nitesh
Hi Nitesh,

Thanks for your inquiry.

Aspose.Words supports all major OOXML versions for example OOXML ECMA-376 and OOXML ISO/IEC DIS 29500. OOXML WordprocessingML documents most often come as DOCX files, which are ZIP packages and Aspose.Words does support DOCX format. However, Aspose.Words does not support ISO/IEC 29500 Strict OOXML version.

I would suggest you please use the latest version of Aspose.Words v13.3.0. If the problem still remains, please attach your input Word document here for testing. I will investigate the issue on my side and provide you more information.

Hi,
So that means Aspose officially supports Office 2013 right??

Thanks,
Ajesh
Hi Ajesh,

Thanks for your inquiry. Aspose.Words has not officially announced the support of MS Word 2013 documents yet. However, Aspose.Words support all major OOXML versions for example OOXML ECMA-376 and OOXML ISO/IEC DIS 29500. However, Aspose.Words does not support following MS Word 2013 features at the moment.

  • ISO/IEC 29500 Strict OOXML version
  • Load password protected document into Aspose.Words DOM

Please use the latest version of Aspose.Words and let us know if you face any issue while using Aspose.Words with MS Word 2013 documents.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as WORDSNET-8969) have been fixed in this Aspose.Words for .NET 17.3.0 update and this Aspose.Words for Java 17.3.0 update.
