We have worked with the data shared by you and have been able to reproduce StringIndexOutOfBoundsException in our environment. A ticket with ID PDFJAVA-38673 has been logged in our issue management system for further investigation and resolution. This ticket is currently blocked by an internal ticket and the resolution may take some months because of it being logged under free support model where issues are investigated on first come first serve basis.
