Editing Data in Exported Chart Doesn't Auto-Refresh Chart Until Manually Select Data

I did the following:

  1. Created a chart in a presentation and saved it to disk.
  2. Opened in Powerpoint 2010
  3. Click on the chart, and then on the Chart Tools tab
  4. Click on the [Edit Data] button
  5. Edit the data
Expected: the chart in the slide will change automatically based on my edits

Currently: nothing happens. To get the chart to change, I first (between steps 3 and 4 above) need to click on the [Select Data] button in Powerpoint, highlight the entire range of data, click [OK] and then [Edit Data]. After Selecting the Data first, it changes to the data now auto-update the chart.

Is there a setting that I need to make the the ChartEx object in order to set the data range for the chart data (the equivalent of what I do when I highlight all of the data in the [Select Data] screen in Powerpoint) so that the data will autoupdate the chart right away?

feature is currently not supported in Aspose.Slides for .NET. However, I
have logged a new feature request as SLIDESNET-30385 in our issue
tracking system to support it. You will be notified via this forum
