I am wondering if the PDF.BindXML feature comes with basic version.

We’ve bought Aspose.pdf Professional Edition and this seems to be not working. Basically, I am doing the following steps.

  1. Using Aspose.word to populate merge fields of a word document and then converting it to XML stream.
  2. Using Aspose.pdf, I am converting XML stream to pdf using BindXML API function.

I am getting this error when I tried to execute the BindXML function.

Custom font is not supported in this edition. The font name is Times New Roman: Unfortunately, this feature is only available in Corporate Edition, but your license authorizes you to use features up to Professional Edition. Hi Sreekanth,

It appears that it’s the custom fonts which are causing the error. Since this feature is not available in your version, can you change your fonts to the standard fonts supported.

I’ve changed the font to “Times New Roman” and I am still getting the same error message.

Dear Sreekanth,

“Times New Roman” can not work as it’s a True Type Font. If you must use a True Type Font you need to upgrade to Corporate Edition by contacting our Sales Team.

If your budget does not enable you to do that, please try any of the following 14 core fonts:

Courier, Courier-Bold, Courier-Oblique, Courier-BoldOblique, Helvetica, Helvetica-Bold, Helvetica-Oblique, Helvetica-BoldOblique, Times-Roman, Times-Bold, Times-Italic, Times-BoldItalic, Symbol, ZapfDingbats
