Hi. Could you please help to figure out how to set authentication method for email client explicitly? We would like to explicitly select basic or md5 authentification, but it is not clear which api method should be used.

Sure. The requirement is to make library authenticating on SMTP, POP or IMAP server using certain authentication method, like CramMD5 for instance and avoid connection if different method is used. We were unable to find out which parameter can be used to configure client objects for that purpose.
