Error Aspose.BarCode for .NET

We renew our Aspose.BarCode for .NET license from 3.7 to 5.6 version and we downloaded the 5.6 version. Now we have the problem of time and memory consumption of the Aspose.BarCodeRecognition.BarCodeReader.Read() method. This method previously (version 3.7) used 1-2 MB of memory and delayed one second, now(5.6 version) consumes between 150-200 MB and takes 8 seconds with the same file(tif) and PC

Please, we urgently need your help to solve this issue ASAP.

Thanks for your inquiry. I would like to update you that the each new release contains many improvements, bug fixes and new features so far we have added many features and optimized the code from time to time for better performance. Comparing speed has no sense, Aspose.BarCode for .NET 3.7.0.0 is quite old, also these two versions are separated by years, even not months. In addition, we’re working to improve the quality and performance of the component.

This bar code image is taking 5 seconds to recognize on my side (ex mode). It also consumes 150-200 MB. I have logged an investigation under ticket id BARCODENET-33600 in our issue tracking system. Your request has also been linked to this issue and you will be notified as soon as it is resolved and available for the public use. We’re sorry for the inconvenience.

We have a good news for you is BARCODENET-33600 has now been resolved and its fix will be included in the next version of Aspose.BarCode for .NET 5.9.0. It is expected at the end of next month. We will inform you via this forum thread as soon as the new release is published.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as BARCODENET-33600) have been fixed in this update.
