Error detecting and loading Mbox

Hello,
DetectFileFormat will not detect this mbox, also Mbox reader won’t read it, can you please check the file?

Hello,
This Mbox O will identify by DetectFileFormat, but when loading into Mbox reader, messages will not load correctly, at least, Body/html will be blank, test and you’ll find it :slight_smile:

I didn’t see any misbehavior from Aspose.Email.

  • In the first case, the mbox format is broken. Because the mbox format uses a single blank line followed by the string 'From ’ (with a space) to delimit messages. There is no single blank line before marker in the given file.
  • In the second case, the mbox format is not broken, the problem is with the messages themselves.
    There is no text/html content type there. It is the reason of blank Body/html.

By the way, what is the <x-html> tag that wraps body in messages?

Kindly note that these are not MboxRd but MboxO and created using Eudora 7.1.0.9 :slight_smile:

Also NULL (0x00) characters must be removed, according to the RFC they’re illegal
