Error when opening certain MS Project file: "An attempt was made to move the position before the beginning of the stream"

I have a mpp file that causes an error when using Aspose.Tasks. I have attached a sceenshot of the error details to this post.


The file is a mpp file of one of my users and although the content is anonimized I don’t feel comfortable posting the file on a public forum.

If anyone of Aspose wants to review the file I would be more than happy to send it by email.

Note: if I open this mpp file in MS Project and then save it as “Microsoft Project 2000-2003” and then try to open it with Aspose.Tasks it works fine. If I open this “Microsoft Project 2000-2003” file in MS Project and save it as microsoft 2007 again and then try to open that file in Aspose.Tasks again it works fine.

The issue is due to the deleted resource assignments. This issue has been logged into our issue tracking system as TASKS-26583 . We will provide you a hotfix in the next week.
