Evaluation Only. Message appears after a few months with permanent license

We downloaded the permanent Aspose PDF license file a few month ago and it’s been working fine. We use it with Microsoft NAV 2018 to merge PDF’s. Suddenly the Evaluation Only message appeared in the header. After downloading the license again in the account and replacing the license, it worked without the evaluation only message.

We can’t find any issuesin our code or server. Could you tell me, where to search for a solution? We should know, how to avoid this problem in the future.

Could you please share your license file in a private message with which you were facing an issue of Evaluation message. We will test it in our environment and address the issue accordingly. You can send a private message by clicking over username and pressing blue message button.

Thanks for sharing the file in a private message.

We have tested it in our environment with Aspose.PDF for .NET 20.9 and did not notice any issue. It is hard to determine the reason for the issue without replicating it at our side. However, please make sure that you initialize your license at the startup of your application and as your license is limited to one physical location, please make sure that it is being used at one place at a time.

Furthermore, please try to share a sample application (in .zip format) with us which is able to replicate the error. This would help us replicating it in our environment and address it accordingly.

I think we know where the problem was. We used the same license in our development environment. Could this be the reason? We need that license to test the implementation before rolling out to the costumer. So, I’ve got two questions:

  • How do you track the license across multiple physical locations (Server)?
  • How can we test out with a running license, without using the costumer or the free license (expiring after 4 weeks)? Is there a developer license that we can get?

You can surely select another type of license which has developer access. We suggest you to please create a post in our Purchase forum where you will be assisted accordingly in order to select right type of license as per your requirements.
