Example of inserting an OLE link?

Does anyone have an example of inserting an OLE link to an Excel chart (or whatever) into a PowerPoint slide? I'm not sure what would go into the obj_data field.

OleDemo contains example how to add Excel Sheet to a slide.

OleDemo only seems to work with embedded OLE files, not linked ones. I was wondering if there was a way to add a linked object without copying from another presentation (since that doesn't work anyway with linked OLE objects).
