Excel 2007 Document Properties

Hi,

Are there plans to provide an API to change the extra document properties in Excel 2007:
* Content Status

  • Language
  • Document Version

    ?

    If so, what is the timescale? The field of particular interest to us is Status.

    Thanks

    Martin

Hi,

I have logged your feature request for Content Status built-in property with an id: CELLSJAVA-18307. We will support it soon. We will provide a new method to get/set value for it in the BuiltInDocumentProperties collection.

And regarding properties like Document Version and Language, could you confirm whether they are the custom properties. If yes, I think you can just get/set them by CustomDocumentProperties.get…()/set…() methods accordingly. If this is not the case, please point out the place where to set these properties in MS Excel, so we can check and support them for your need.

Thank you.

The properties appear to be built-in but undocumented. They are listed here:

The status field is our priority.

Thanks

Martin

Hi Martin,

Thanks for providing us the link.

We will further investigate it and get back to you soon.

Thank you.

Hi,

Please try the new fix (attached). We have supported
these build-in document properties for Excel2007:
BuiltInDocumentProperties.getContentStatus()/setContentStatus(String)
BuiltInDocumentProperties.getLanguage()/setLanguage(String)
BuiltInDocumentProperties.getContentType()/setContentType(String)
BuiltInDocumentProperties.getDocumentVersion()/setDocumentVersion(String)

Thank you.

Thank-you for your prompt response. Is this a fully tested production-ready release? If not, when will the next regular release of this module be?

Regards

Martin

Hi Martin,

We plan to release Aspose.Cells for Java 2.3.1 within this month. Please use this version and if you encounter any problem, please let us know.

Hi,

Furthermore, well, you can use this fix as an official release. It is an intermediate kind of version which is provided as a fix against some new features. Normally, this kind of version is posted into the support forums. You can use this version for your requirements; it will behave like an official release. It is to be noted here, our next official release would include all the functionality of the previous fixes (including all the intermediate versions till the next official release).

Thank you.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as 18307) have been fixed in this update.
