Exception of type 'System.OutOfMemoryException' was thrown

Hi Support,

I am getting error while sending email without attachment. I am using Aspose.Email.dll, v6.9.0.0. Below is the exception :

Inner exception: "Exception of type ‘System.OutOfMemoryException’ was thrown."

I am sending email in iteration and after 100 or 200 items, smtpClient.Send(message); method throw out of memory exception.

Note:
1. Exception only came when memory cross 220 mb.
2. Object of Aspose.Email.Mail.SmtpClient class never release its memory.

Please suggest me what went wrong.

Hi Support,

There is one work around for this issue, which is working fine for me, now not getting ‘Out of memory issue’. By using singleton approach, creating only one object of SmtpClient, it works for me.

So is it possible SmtpClient class object disposed by own self after some time?

Thanks for your reply.

It is not easy to reproduce. In the 2000 iteration, above message come once or twice. So you need to loop the sending email code for 2000 times, then you can get this exception.

Also can you please share the sample with SecurityOptions.None.

I am getting error with this, below is the error message:

We were not able to observe your reported exception even iterating the email sending loop 2500 times. The below sample code works with SecurityOptions.None as well.

Hi Support,

Thanks for sharing the code. I am also using same code. Do we need some setting in email server.
Currently I am using ‘smtp.gmail.com’ email server with SecurityOptions.None.

I am getting error. Please suggest me how i can proceed with SecurityOptions.None option.

Do i need to configure new email server without ssl?

Is there any free email server to test this settings?

Hi Munish,

SecurityOptions.None is used when the connection is not secured. GMail’s Smtp allow connections via TLS (port 587) or SSL (port 465) for using with API’s SSLImplicit or SSLExplicit option only. Configurations are all set by GMail host server and not in our control. We haven’t tried it at our end by configuring a server that supports this option. But you can Google about Free Smtp servers and test the feature with that after configuration. Please let us know if we can be of any help to you in this regard.

Do we have same property with other name in current version?

Hi Munish,

Body property is used to get/set the plain text body of the mail. Similarly if html body is to be set, use HtmlBody. Another property HtmlBodyText can be used to plain text from the HtmlBody. Following sample code demonstrates usage of these properties.

MailMessage mail = new MailMessage();
mail.Body = "Text body";
mail.HtmlBody = "
Sample html body
";
mail.Save("output.eml", EmlSaveOptions.DefaultEml);

MailMessage loadedMail = MailMessage.Load("output.eml");
Console.WriteLine(loadedMail.Body);
