Exception thrown in SetLicence

Hello Support Team,

We are currently migrating to .NET6 and encounter problems in setting the licence for the Aspose products.

For Aspose.PDF we receive ‘Exception of type ‘System.Exception’ was thrown.’

Aspose.Words, Aspose.Cells and Aspose.Email are working well.

We are using the licence file as an embedded resource and set the resource name in SetLicence.

Hence it is .NET6 RC1 we are not expecting that everything works, but is there already anything known about this? And would it be fixed until Final Release in Novembre?

Please note, these are the known issues regarding .NET Framework 6.0 with Aspose.PDF for .NET and Aspose.HTML for .NET APIs. We have already logged the following tickets for your mentioned libraries.

  • PDFNET-50608
  • HTMLNET-3386

We have linked the respective tickets with the thread. Once we have an update on any of the tickets, we will let you know here.

Adding to @Travico’s issue, I confirm that licensing Aspose.Words (v21.10.0) does work however Aspose.Svg (v21.9.0) and Aspose.Fonts (v21.10.0) throw the same exception in .NET6.0 RC1 when using a Total license as an embedded resource. I assume there are already known issues logged.

Following issues have been logged in our issue management system for further investigation against this case:

  • SVGNET-39
  • FONTNET-288
