Exporting doc to html

Hi,

I have opened a document that contains text in frame objects with Aspose.Words. The document is exported from Crystal Reports. Document is a bit like of excel table with horizontal data cells. When I export document as html data is stacked vertically. I tried different saving options for Document object but result didn’t change. Is there any way to get frame objects positioning made correctly during export? If needed I can provide a sample.

We had a similar issue before. What version are you using?

I have tried latest beta 4 release and also 3.3.3 and encountered same issue with both of them.

Hi

Thanks for your request. Could you please attach you document here for testing. I will check the issue and provide you more information.
It sounds like your document layout is fully built using floating objects (frames). At the moment Aspose.Words does not support positioning of floating objects upon exporting to HTML. Please see the following link to learn more about HTML export:

Best regards,

Yes, that’s it. Document I’m working with uses floating frames so no wonder it didn’t layout as should have. I noticed floating object support is planned. What is the timeframe when this feature can be expected to be available?

Hi

Thanks for your request. Positioning of floating content is quite complex issue, so at the moment I cannot provide you any reliable estimate. Your request has been linked to the appropriate issue. You will be notified as soon as it is resolved.
Best regards,

The issues you have found earlier (filed as 1144) have been fixed in this update.
