Exporting reports which have HTML formatting in string

Hi, we are experiencing an issue with exporting a report from SSRS 2008R2.

We are doing some in line formatting of text strings using HTML tags, for the most part it exports fine but we are seeing an issue where the formatting continues across the whole string when it should stop at a single word.
It seems to be when we are using the (hyperlink) tag

Please see the three attachments, the report as designed. As you’ll see in the .PPTX the whole line is underlined blue which is incorrect. The attached .PDF is how it is displaying on screen and exporting to all other formats which is correct.

Can you please advise on a fix for this issue?

and I am able to reproduce the same problem. For the sake of correction,
I have logged this issue as SLIDESREP-31240 in our issue tracking system . Our
