Extra info for Resource not appearing in chart (CTS-3105)

Hi,

While converting MPP to PDF, extra information related to resource like ‘Cost’, ‘Unit’ etc which can be seen in bracket against each resource in tasks panel doesn’t appear in chart if visible in source file.

e.g in attached sample, for tasks # 15, 17, 19, resource field looks like this - Administrative Assistant [50%], Temporary Employee [50%], Travel Expenses [$9,000.00], but chart doesn’t show anything that is inside bracket.

Is there any way to retain it same as source file ?

Thanks,
Rajiv

Hi Rajiv,

Thank you for sharing your concern with us.

Though this can be achieved using custom delegates for rendering columns, it can’t be done directly rendering to PDF. An enhancement ticket with id: TASKS-33731 for implementation of this feature. Once there is an update available in this regard, we’ll write back here via this thread.

Hi Kashif,

Can you make this issue Enterprise Support.

Thanks,
Rajiv

Hi Rajiv,

As you may see from the status of this ticket, this issue has already been fixed and will be part of Aspose.Tasks for Java 7.0.0. Once the fix version is available for the issue, we’ll notify you here via this thread.

Thanks Kashif !

Can you let us know the tentative date of 7.0 release ?

Regards,
Rajiv

The issues you have found earlier (filed as TASKS-33731) have been fixed in this update.

Hi Kashif,

This issue isn’t fully fixed it seems.

Travel Expenses [$9,000.00] that I mentioned in my initial post on this thread is coming as Travel Expenses[0 ] in the output, some other values get rendered correctly though, looks like it is only partially fixed.

Can you please reopen the bug.

Thanks,
Rajiv

Hi Rajiv,

I have analyzed the issue and have re-produced the issue here. This issue is re-opened again for further analysis by the development team and I will write back here as soon as some feedback is received in this regard.

Hi Kashif,

This issue TASKS-33731 is still showing as ‘Fixed’ even after reopening it … is it expected ?

Rajiv

Hi Rajiv,

The issue has been fixed and the upcoming version of Aspose.Tasks for Java will contain the fix for this issue.

Thanks Kashif … if possible please share the output with fix version, I know I am making this kind of request for many issues, but I just want to ensure that there’s no surprise later on as we have very little time left for our upcoming release.

Regards,
Rajiv
