Hi,

I have some technical issue with the extract text component. I am trying to extract text from the attached pdf file, when I run it on my pc the text extracted well, but, when I run it on staging environment the text extracted very bad, also, there are some odd signs that added to the end of the text, you can't see it here(e.g. '\o'). see below:

I have tried to test this issue at my end using the latest version and the code snippet from this page, and it worked fine. Thank you for your response, but, I am also using the latest version of the component and i tried the both methods you mentioned, and still the same issues occur.

Do you have any other solutions?

I have again tested this issue at my end using the second file you shared. Could you please see the attached output text file and share the problems you notice with the content? As I can see, some special characters like Ã are being added at some places. Could you please confirm that this is the only problem you’re receiving at your end or there is some other issue as well?

Also, I have attached the code snippet I’m using at my end. Could you please try extracting the text using this sample? Please share your thoughts, so we could move forward with the investigation.

Hi,
As you can see in the text file you just sent me, there are some issues, one is the Ã,

characters that being added, and also, you can see the long text that contain some words that extracted together, e.g.

efÃ„cientandeffectiveutilizationofresourcesandpropermanagementofauditassignmentsÃƒPlanning
ManagestheoverallenvironmentalfunctionoftheIlembeDistrictMunicipalityandprovidesprofessional

About the code you attached, I already tried that code, the same issues occur.
