Hi,
I would like to be able to extract embedded objects (such as OLE objects in the form of images, documents, etc) from project (MPP) files. For other document types, like Word, Excel, PDF, the API allows you to extract objects or traverse the document’s tree to get to them. How would I go about doing this with the Tasks API? I loaded a simple MPP file with an embedded PDF (shown in the Grantt Chart) created by Project 2003, and cannot seem to find the embedded object (or part of the API that may grant access to it).
Thanks a lot!
Daniel
Dear Daniel,
You can use task.NotesRTF property to access the embedded object.

Hi,
I’ve attached a zip file containing a simple MPP (2003) file, with an embedded PDF. The Resources array (which has NotesRTF member) is empty. What would I use to extract the PDF? Is each embedded object supposed to be represented by a Resource object?
Thanks,
Daniel
Dear Daniel,
At the moment, you can extract the objects embedded in notes section only using NotesRTF property and read the contents using Aspose.Words for .NET. You cannot extract the objects embedded in the views but a request in this regard has been logged into our issue tracking system as <!–[if gte mso 9]>
