is it possible to create TextToDisplay property in case of links in PDF documents.
My scenario is that I need to search for hyperlinks and change it but also to change TextToDisplay which is shown to document reader.
Problem is that currently we need to use TextFragments and based on this approach we are not able to make changes of TextToDisplay as in one link we might have multiple fragments.
Link is the same like text above. When I use TextFragment I see multiple fragments so if I want to make change of complete text this is not possible as TextFragments are only fragments of full text.
If you create get/set TextToDisplay property this will make developers life much easier.
Basically it will be great if we can get ta.TextFragments.Text and then be able to manipulate complete string which consists of multiple number of Fragments.
I can loop through collection but when I am searching for something I am entering complete string or sentence and if I have multiple Framents then I can never find a match.
Also I would not have any issue (not sure is this possible on technical side) if I can overwrite all fragments with ta.TextFragments.Text and after change have only one fragment.
We are sorry for the delayed response. After initial investigation, I have logged an enhancement ticket PDFNEWNET-40634 in our issue tracking system for further investigation and implementation of you requirement. We will keep you updated about the issue resolution progress.
I just went through list of my open feature requests (4 or 5 of them). As they are all similar (small variations) can I expect that this will be resolved?
It is not almost 4 months since original ticket and basically the same case also with other feature requests. Btw. I have also some older than 9 months.
I understand priority lists with first-in first-out but will be really appreciated to have some movement here. It is kind of worrying that there is no progress since months.
Thanks for your inquiry. I am afraid above reported issues are still pending for investigation, as our product team is busy in resolving other issues in the queue. However we have recorded your concern and raised your issue priority. We have also requested our product team to complete the issue investigation and share an ETA at their earliest. We will let you know as soon as we get a feedback.
