Files on google drive by file Id

Hi,


I can access files using third party storage by file name. But on google drive it is allowed to have more files with the same name in the same folder. A file has an Id, which is meant to be used to accessing it by the Google Drive API. Can I access the file by Id using Aspose.cloud REST API?

Hi Peter,

Yes, you can maintain multiple versions of the same file in Google Drive. When you pass name of a file, Aspose for Cloud gives you the latest version of the file. Do you want to work with older versions of the same file?

They are not necessarely versions of the same file, they can be totally independent files as well. Of course it’s not a good practice to have them the same file name, but it is allowed, and we can’t enforce that our users don’t do that.
