Find the margin and cut it out

Hi all:


Good day / evening.

I have a new project for which Aspose OMR is a perfect solution.

But the only hitch I am thinking of now is that the scanned images I am getting don’t match the template I created because I have margins that don’t align. The client has scanned using some software that scanned it into PDF with margins.

My plan is
1. Converting PDF to TIFF / JPG / PNG that OMR will understand.
2. To find the location of the first element (which is a border) and trim off the margins.
3. Then I can crop to preset height and width.
4. Lastly I would apply the template to get the data values

I am looking for ways to do Step 2. Wonder if you have had any previous project where you found the location of first object (a black rectangle in my case)? If not I might have to write on my own. So thought I will check with you all first.

This is to update you that we have to analyze the OMR scanned sheet before proposing any sort of solution. Please forward us the sample OMR scanned sheet [complete image] and sample OMR template. We will look into it and update you about our findings.
