GBK error

Hi,


I got the following error:
‘GBK’ is not a supported encoding

when I converted a ppt to pptx using codes like:
PresentationEx pres = new PresentationEx(rootPath + fileName);
if(ext.equalsIgnoreCase(".ppt")){
pres.save(rootPath + fileName + “x”, com.aspose.slides.SaveFormat.Pptx);
pres = new PresentationEx(rootPath + fileName + “x”);
}

Please help me, thanks.

Thank you for sharing the sample file.

I have tested your sample code with the latest version of Aspose.Slides for Java v8.1.0 and I am unable to reproduce the issue. The resultant file is generating and opening fine. Please download and try the latest version at your end and see if it works fine for you. In case you still face any issue, please share the details regarding your system environment i.e. OS, JDK version etc. for further testing.

Owais.ahmad, I got the same error with Vincent. But I use the Aspose.Slides-7.5.1.jar version.

Can I fix this bug in this Slides version.

Here is my code sample:

pres.write(tempDir);
presx = new PresentationEx(tempDir); //‘GBK’ is not a supported encoding
presx.write(targetPath);

I have observed your comments. Can you please try to use Aspose.Slides latest version 17.12 on your end and if there is still an issue than please share source presentation along with environment details. I also like to inform that support always provided based on new version so please try to use latest version and if there is still an issue than report here so that we may help you out.
