When I call getThumbnail for the last slide in one of my presentations, I get a blank image.
I downloaded the Slides for java (1.7) library and I get the same results.
Please attach your presentation. You can attach it by following these steps

The file FourSlides.doc is the ppt document, FourSlides.ppt. The FourSlidesImgs.zip is a zip file of the rendered images. Keyframe3 is the image of the fourth slide. By the way, I can clone the slide and create a new presentation and the presentation shows all of the slide, it is only the Thumbnail that is blank.
Do I need the Metafiles library to get all of the shapes in the rendered image?
Here is the ppt file.
I have seen this problem and after looking into it little further, I will report it for a fix.
Yes, all embedded objects (Visio in your case) stored in wmf/emf format
so you need also Aspose.Metafiles to render it.
