Gradient Print Issue with Chrome

Can you provide an update on the status of WORDSNET-16057?

@dspector1,

We tested the scenario with printing from Firefox with Microsoft Print to PDF option and everything is fine. So, this is obviously some PDF compatibility issue with Chrome. Please ask Chrome support about this problem.

Keep in mind that when the PDF is created from MS Word, it prints fine from Chrome. It is only when the PDF is created by Aspose that the Chrome printing problem appears. Doesn’t this suggest that the problem is with Aspose? It seems clear that the PDFs created from Word and Aspose are not internally identical and that only the one from Aspose has the Chrome issue.

@dspector1,

Thanks for your inquiry. To ensure a timely and accurate response, please attach the following resources here for testing:

  • Your input Word document.
  • Please attach the output PDF file that shows the undesired behavior.
  • Please share the screenshots of problematic section of output document.
  • Please create a standalone console application (source code without compilation errors) that helps us to reproduce your problem on our end and attach it here for testing.

As soon as you get these pieces of information ready, we’ll start investigation into your issue and provide you more information. Thanks for your cooperation.

PS: To attach these resources, please zip and upload them.

This test case will generate a pdf file that exhibits the problem. Once the pdf is generated, open it in Google Chrome and print it. The gradient area of the pdf will include artifacts. If you open MergeTest.docx in MS Word and save it as a pdf and print it the same way, the gradient area has no artifacts.
