GridWeb Row Caption Column Resizing

I am setting the row captions using dataCells.SetRowCaption() method. The captions consist of about 10 characters, and therefore the column is correctly being resized to display these captions.

However, when I do a post back to the server (eg press the Submit button on the bottom toolbar), the caption column is automatically getting resized to its default small width. The captions don't fit then.

Could you please let me know why this caption is column is being incorrectly resized upon a postback?
