HEIC, HEIF to PDF

Hi Team,

We are currently using Aspose Total for Java in our application, for converting different types to PDF. Could you please let us know if Aspose total have the library for converting HEIC and HEIF to PDF?

Hello,

Aspose Total for Java does not currently support direct conversion of HEIC and HEIF files to PDF. You may need to convert these formats to a more widely supported image format first, and then use Aspose to convert that image to PDF.

Aspose.PDF for Java introduced support for HEIC to PDF some months ago. However, regarding HEIF to PDF, the feature may still be under development. To assist you more effectively and provide the latest updates on your requested features, I am moving your thread to the relevant category, where one of our colleagues from the Aspose.PDF team will assist you soon.

We have implemented the support for Image (HEIC) to PDF conversion in Aspose.PDF for .NET but the solution involved installing FileFormat.HEIC package (NuGet Gallery | FileFormat.HEIC 24.11.0). About the HEIF, this is still under investigation. We need to investigate for Java API as well. Following tickets have been logged for the purpose in our issue tracking system.

  • PDFJAVA-45405 (HEIC to PDF)
  • PDFJAVA-45406 (HEIF to PDF)

We will look into the details of the tickets and let you know as soon as we make any progress towards their resolution. Please be patient and spare us some time.
