How can I set the ID of an annotation

How can I set the UniqueID of an annotation? I could not find an appropriate method.


Other frameworks offer a method like annotation.setUniqueID(String…).

Thanks for contacting support.

Annotations are associated with individual pages and stored in a Page object’s AnnotationCollection collection and each Object have unique Index. Currently you can not change the index or set the ID of the annotation. However, I have added an enhancement ticket PDFNET-42405 in our issue tracking system for ability to add uniqueID to the annotations. We will further look into the details of this enhancement and will keep you posted on the status.
