How do I install a .lic file?

I installed an full version evalution of .Cells for RS, and then decided to purchase the full version. I did not get an installer, just an XML file with the extension .lic attached to my confirmation email.

I have looked over site help, and had 4 emails with Shelia Holt from sales and she still cannot direct me to information that can help me get rid of the 'Eval version Disclaimer sheet' on an excel export.

How do I install a .lic file?

Thanks for your inquiry.

Well, the Aspose components including Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services: http://www.aspose.com/community/files/52/ssrs-rendering-extensions/aspose.cells-for-reporting-services/default.aspx work in the evaluation mode (by default) if you don't use/set license file provided. For your info, the evaluation and licensed installers are the same. So, if you want the evaluation warning sheet should not be added in the exported report and want the component should perform in its full capacity, you need to have and set the license file for the component. Which version of Aspose.Cells for SSRS are you using? Please right-click the dll to check the version.

Where did you put the license file? Please post a screenshot here.

How did you setup it in Aspose.Cells.ReportingServices.xml ? Please post it here.

Thank you for considering Aspose.

Please try the latest version of Aspose.Cells for Reporting Services (V1.4.1.6).

Please perform the following steps:

  1. Uninstall old version and install new version.

  2. Copy the license file to License folder and the license file name is Aspose.Cells.Reporting.Services.lic.

Please see the attached image for your reference.

If the issue still exists, please check install.log and see the attached document regarding different installation and configuration options of Aspose.Cells for Reporting Service and update your configuration accordingly.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as 9612) have been fixed in this update.
