Hi There,
We are using Aspose.OCR, Version=3.4.0.0 to work with OMR forms
When i process my form first i want to know any of the bubbles found(not result). see i have an option to upload some mobile or webcam images too, so there are chances when image is not clear(with less MP cameras) or not held correct.
For all this i can’t show an empty results(even though something was marked on sheet), First i want to find if bubbles found in specified position, if yes check for results. else i can tell end user that form is invalid, try again.
Hope you get my query.
Thanks in advance, Veeresh
Hi Veeresh,
Thank you for your inquiry.
You can set OMR threshold level to fulfill your requirement. For details please visit the link:
Hope the above information helps. Feel free to reach us in case you have further query or comments along with sample file(s).
Hi Ikram,
Thanks for your response.
May be this Threshold level couldn’t help to my problem.
My doubt is, Before getting answers i want to know if any of the bubbles found in that specified position.
For example: In the attached image(788c9fb5-067b-4482-8b31-f8eea6795243) few bubbles are marked, but this is not held correct while taking camera image. so positions are not correct. here i want to get result like bubbles are not found(not that result is empty or 0).
The actual image looks something like second one(c749b881-d473-4358-bfe4-3b1cafcfdb12)
So is this possible ?
Hope above description helps you to understand better.
If you need more info please let me know
Thanks, Veeresh
Hi Veeresh,
Thank you for writing us back along with sample files.
It is the default behavior of the OMR template editor and Aspose.OCR API that it will return empty string if no filled bubbles are found. You can implement a check on this result in your application that if there is no result means an empty string is returned then it means “bubbles are not found”.
Furthermore an investigation ticket has been logged with ID OCR-34360 to look into you requirement “Before getting answers i want to know if any of the bubbles found in that specified position”. Our product team will further look into it. We will update you accordingly via this thread.
Hi Ikram,
Thank you very much for response.
Yes, the idea of checking if all result is empty would work for time being, but this is not consistent it seems. I will use this for now.
and i would like to hear more information on this from you development team.
Best regards, Veeresh
Hi Veeresh,
