The image in the word file is getting blurred while converting it to pdf.
We have also checked it with all the solutions that were there in the aspose website.
Attaching a console application for your reference.
Please add the Aspose.Words.dll (version 17.9.0.0) in the bin>Debug folder as it was quite large in size so have removed it.ExportToPdf.zip (268.1 KB)
Thanks for your inquiry. Please note that Aspose.Words mimics the behavior of MS Word. If you convert your document to PDF using MS Word, you will get the same output.
Thanks for your fast response.
When we are importing the image in word file using MergeField(the image in the doc file is clear) and then converting it to pdf using aspose.word, the image is getting blurred in the pdf file.
However when we are converting a word file(which has the image pasted in it) to pdf, the image looks fine.
So, can you please suggest an alternative of this
Thanks for your inquiry. MS Word 2016 and Aspose.Words generate the same output. Please check the attached output PDF files. output PDF.zip (432.6 KB)
Please attach the following resources here for testing:
Your input Word document. The template document that you using for mail merge.
The image file that you are inserting into document.
Please attach the expected output PDF file that shows the desired behavior.
As soon as you get these pieces of information ready, we’ll start investigation into your issue and provide you more information. Thanks for your cooperation.
PS: To attach these resources, please zip and upload them.
Thanks for sharing the detail. The shared expected output is same as output generated by Aspose.Words. We checked the output in Adobe acrobat reader and Google Chrome. Please check the output PDF files shared in my previous post.
Could you please share how are you checking the output PDF? Please also share the screenshots of problematic section of output. We will further investigate this issue and provide you more information.
The shared expected output and the output generated by Aspose.words will be same ONLY if you are pasting the image directly in a new Word template and then using the template for PDF conversion (Either by save as in Word/Aspose). BUT , if you are creating a Word template via Aspose.Words (using MergeFields) then the image is coming out to be blurred in PDF (Either by save as in Word/Aspose).
In both the cases, the image in the word template is clear.
The PDF files shared by you in the previous post are both blurred because the template you have used for conversion was created using Aspose.Words and so like mentioned in above para, the image will come out to be blurred.
I am using Acrobat Reader , Internet Explorer , Google Chrome to check the output PDF generated.
Please find the attached screenshot of the blurred image.
Thanks for sharing the detail. The “ExpectedPdfImage.pdf” in Requirements.zip is also little blurry. If you insert the image into template document and convert it to PDF using MS Word 2016, you will get the same output.
Yes , I completely agree that it’s not 100% clear like original but its almost near but if you will compare it with the screenshot I have shared in my last post then you will find a big difference.
I am using MS Word 2013, Would that make any difference?
Thanks for your inquiry. The output generated by MS Word 2013, 2016 and Aspose.Words 17.11 is same. We have attached the screenshots of all output documents with this post for your kind reference. msword 2013.png (39.1 KB) msword 2016.png (46.2 KB) Aspose.Words 17.11.png (45.0 KB)
I have attached two word templates. One is created by using Aspose.words while the other is by MS Word 2013. The Aspose template gives the blurry image while the MS word template gives the clear image after doing Save As to PDF. Could you please help me on this?
Thanks for your inquiry. Have you checked the screenshots shared in my previous post? MS Word generates the same blur output. We have converted the shared documents (WorkTemplates.zip) to PDF using Aspose.Words and MS Word. The output is same.
Please share the following detail for further investigation.
Please share the output PDF that shows the clear image.
Please open it in Adobe acrobat reader, take the screenshot, and share it.
Please the operating system that you are using at your end.
Thanks for your cooperation.
