Image overlaying another image

I am generating a PDF that is mainly an image with some text above it. I need to do a stamp with a logo siluette over it. The stamp seems to be behind the other image. Putting them both in as images, but I can't seem to control the foreground/background of them.

Is there a way of doing this?

I have uploaded the source and the sample PDFs. There is one which shows the watermark. TGLabel_0216_Label.pdf It was created by commenting the code that inserts the main label out, the source code specifies which code was removed. That shows that the watermark section is working properly. You will also note that it is 1/8^th the size. TGLabel_0211_Label.pdf was run with all code intact. I also ran a third test with the watermark disabled and it was 220k smaller, showing that the watermark is in the file. Just not visible.

The thing to remember is that I am taking a 4x6 shipping label represented by a GIF, PNG, or JPG and inserting it into a 4x6.75 PDF. That label is NOT transparent. My watermark graphic is. So the two graphics are on top of one another with respect to the Z axis.

Also, this code shows inserting as two graphics, not using the Stamp feature. It yielded the same results. But it made sense to me that it would be in the background, so I converted to two graphics. The watermark is also the last thing inserted.

I will try to get a running sample uploaded.

I am having problems with quality as well, and am wondering if I am using the wrong methods. I am using Aspose.PDF, you also have Generator and Facades of course. I have found were you list features of each one, but what I haven't found is which would be better for my situation. Many of the features overlap, some of course are missing. I am beginning to suspect that Generator may work better for me. I found one thread that spoke about quality and using the image type to improve it, that only seems to be available in Generator Also Generator supports a Z Axis for images as well as opacity which doesn't seem to exist in Aspose.PDF.

Is there any place that tells me not the feature set, but in what cases each would work better for me, or perhaps easier or more naturally would be a better way of putting it.

You can use Aspose.Pdf.Generator namespace to generate new documents from scratch, Aspose.Pdf DOM to create new and manipulate existing documents and Aspose.Pdf.Facades namespace to manipulate existing PDF documents. Since the release of Aspose.Pdf for .NET 6.0.0, Aspose.Pdf for .NET and Aspose.Pdf.Kit for .NET were merged into a single product. After merging, a new Document Object Model was introduced which provides the capability to create PDF files from scratch as well as it provides the facility to edit/manipulate existing PDF documents (Aspose.Pdf.Document). However, Aspose.Pdf.Generator (old Aspose.Pdf for .NET) and Aspose.Pdf.Facades (Old Aspose.Pdf.Kit for .NET) were introduced to provide support for legacy products code.

Now, regarding the features and the quality, it mostly depends on the input documents and scenario of the customers. In case you are getting any quality issues using DOM or any missing feature as per your requirement, please share the details with us as per your requirement. We will check it and try to fix it soon.

So just to make sure I am clear on it. Anything new really should be under the Aspose.PDF name space, not the facades or generator name space?

Well, it depends on the requirements of the users. We are continuously supporting new features in Aspose.Pdf DOM but in case some user is using Facades, then we also provide the required features, feature enhancements and bug fixes in Facades as well. So, there is no restriction to only provide the new features and enhancements in DOM.
