In PDF output- vertical axis range does not match the source chart

Hi Aspose team, We have observed that resizing the chart sometimes results in Y-axis with a different range as compared to the source. For instance, in the attached chart, Y-axis ranges from -5 to 25, whereas, in PDF output it shows the Y-axis range as -10 to 30. It appears to be dependent on spacing between Y-axis values, such that if it is reduced to a certain point, the range changes in the output. This is a critical issue for one our customer, so please provide your inputs asap.

Hi, Is there any update on providing a fix for this issue anytime soon? This is a critical issue for our client. Please note that this issue is not restricted to Vertical axis, but also occurs for Horizontal axis.

Hi,

I am afraid, there is no update on your issue at the moment, your issue is not resolved yet. However I have logged your concerns against your issue “CELLSJAVA-41539” into our database and asked the concerned developer to provide an eta if possible. Once we have any update on it, we will be more than happy to update you here.

Regarding the issue on horizontal axis, do you mean chart is not rendered in a single PDF page? If this is the case, I am afraid, this is not an issue with the product as when you open your Excel file into Ms Excel manually and take the print preview of the sheet, it also renders the chart in two pages. And, if you need to render the chart with data in a single page, you may try to use PdfSaveOptions.setOnePagePerSheet(true) to render a single page containing the chart in the output PDF file.

Thank you.

Hi Amjad,

Regarding the horizontal axis issue, I was referring to the issue with X-axis range being different from source. That is, sometimes when chart size is reduced with little spacing between X-axis values, it ends up in a different range in the PDF output.

Raghav

Hi,

Sure, take your time to feed us back. Hopefully your issue would be fixed in it.

Also, This (Aspose.Cells for Java v8.6.1.4) is a minor release, it does not have any release notes. However, its release notes will be included in the upcoming major official release 8.6.2 which will be published in the third week of November 2015 (the date is not finalized yet). So you will have to wait till then. Furthermore you may use v8.6.1.4 as an official release in production server without any problem.
