Installation development server and web server

I recently downloaded the evaluation for ASPOSE.TOTAL with the specific goal to evaluate the process of reading a word document, picking up specific tables within it and storing the table infromation to a database and also taking a finalized word document and creating a PDF.
We are a single developer organization but we have a development server and a production web server. What are the software requirements in order fully test the application? Would I need to install on both servers? And would a single license work for two different servers?

Thank you for your inquiry.
The full set of software requirements depends on the application you are going to develop. If it is a Web server than you need IIS. If you work with database as you mention then you need some database engine, you choose which one. Please be more specific in your needs so we could advise.
Having two environments is okay. In every organization applications first developed and tested in test environment and then deployed in production environment. Your office is one physical location.
