Invalid version of serialized data

I am using ocr 1.7 jdk16 version and Aspose.OCR.1.5.0.Resources.zip.
Where is the 1.7 resources file?
I couldn’t find the 1.7 version resources file.

Thanks,
Chang Shin

Hi Chang,

Thank you for using Aspose products.

The link for Aspose.OCR for Java 1.7.0 resource archive is available in the release notes of Aspose.OCR for Java 1.7.0. Actually this version of the API uses the same resource file as of Aspose.OCR for .NET 1.7.0 therefore we didn’t upload it again in the Java download section, instead we provided the link in the release notes for reference.

Please use the below provided link to get the required resource file. I believe you will not face the issue (as mentioned in the title of this thread) once appropriate resources are used for OCR operation.

I got the file.
However, when I tried to get text value from image file. I didn’t get the text values.
Please check attachment.
OCRTest.rar has the java code and and image files.
datasheetForOCR.rar is the pdf file.

Thanks,
Chang Shin

Hi Chang,

Thank you for providing the sample images for our testing. We are able to observe that Aspose.OCR for Java 1.7.0 returns some garbage data when OCR operation is performed on the sample images. For further analysis and correction, a ticket (OCR-33711) has been logged in our bug tracking system. Please spare us little time to properly analyze the problem cause, and to provide a fix at earliest. In the meanwhile, we will keep you posted with updates in this regard.

Please accept our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

Note: Aspose.OCR for Java currently supports BMP and TIFF file formats.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as ) have been fixed in this Aspose.Words for JasperReports 18.3 update.
