Is Aspose.Pdf for Java auto-ported from .NET version

Hi,

Is Aspose.Pdf for Java auto-ported from .NET version??
I could see a huge difference in the Aspose.PDF release versions between Java and .Net, also .Net provides lot of features compared to java version.

Thanks for your inquiry. Yes you are right Aspose.Pdf for Java is ported version of .NET version. Aspose.Pdf for Java last version 4.6.0 is ported from Aspose.Pdf for .NET 8.8.0, so you would have observed the difference in features with respect to current version of .NET.

However with upcoming release of Aspose.Pdf for Java we are changing its version numbering according to its corresponding version for Aspose.Pdf of .NET. i.e new version number will Aspose.Pdf for Java 9.0.0.

We have a plan to publish Aspose.Pdf for Java 9.0.0 today. As soon the version becomes available, we would be more than happy to update you with the status of correction.

Yes you are correct. Aspose.Pdf for Java is ported from Aspose.Pdf for .NET. However some of the features are still not supported in Aspose.Pdf for Java and team is working on testing the features compatibility. Nevertheless, we are working hard on supporting similar features and we keep announcing them with every new product release. We are sorry for this confusion and inconvenience.

Do you support transformation of PDF to PS(postscript) in Aspose.PDF for Java latest version?
If not when are you planning to support??

Thanks for your inquiry. I am afraid currently PDF to Postscript conversion is not supported in Aspose.Pdf for Java. However we have already planned this feature in Aspose.Pdf for Java 9.2 as PDFNEWJAVA-33999. We will notify you via this forum thread as soon as it it implemented.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as PDFNEWJAVA-33999) have been fixed in Aspose.Pdf for Java 10.8.0.
