Is Excel required on the server/client to run Aspose Excel?

Is it necessary to have Excel installed on either the server or the client for Aspose Excel to work ?

If yes, then which of the 2 need Excel to be installed (server or client) ?

Aspose.Excel is a spreadsheet creating engine without need to install MS Excel. But MS Excel or ExcelViewer is needed to view Aspose.Excel generated file.

So you don’t need to install MS Excel in your server side and MS Excel is needed in client side to view the spreadsheets.
