Issue in getting content from Image using Aspose OCR

Hi Team,

Iam using Aspose OCR to extract content from image file using the code in the below link.

Iam also attaching the sample image files.

With Image1.jpg(which is a small file) able to get the data.

With Image2.jpg the code is non responsive even I waited for more than 30 min.

Kindly help in proceeding further.

Thank you for considering Aspose APIs.

We have carried out investigation on the said issue. Several tests have been performed on both of the sample images provided by you. We have used the latest version of Aspose.OCR for Java 2.4.0. We are able to replicate the issue. Please, note that the issue has been logged in our issue tracking system with ID OCR-34049.

Thank you for your patience with us.

Please note, we have closed the ticket logged earlier as OCR-34049 because it not a bug of Aspose.OCR for Java API. Reason being, the presented behavior is directly related to the available memory to process huge images such as your provided sample. If you increase the Java heap size for the process/program you will be able to avoid the OutOfMemoryError as well as the long execution time. Please note that we have carried out tests with following Java heap setting -Xms128m -Xmx1024m and found that custom recognition blocks can be processed more quickly.

Unfortunately, the recognition accuracy is still low therefore the ticket OCR-34053 attached to your other thread is currently unresolved. We are actively working to enhance the OcrEngine for better accuracy rate and hope to publish the fix with future releases of Aspose.OCR APIs. As soon as we get more updates regarding the ticket OCR-34053 we will post to its relevant thread for your reference.

The issues you have found earlier (filed as OCR-34049) have been fixed in this update.
