We are using Aspose.Powerpoint to convert to slides. Today we received lot of error in our application. On troubleshooting, we realized, if we use the powerpoint file created using a template it is causing the issue.
Is it the way it works in the version we have? Has it been addressed in Aspose.Slides?

Dear Ravi,
You should recreate or save it back with Save As… menu command in MS-PowerPoint to make sure that your presentation internal structure is integrate.
Further, you should uncheck the Allow fast saves checkbox under the Options – > Save
Also, Aspose.PowerPoint is very old, a lot of bug fixes have been fixed in latest versions, so it is better you move to Aspose.Slides now
